Paying For Your Childcare

At KIM Nursery, we are proud to offer high quality, affordable childcare in Edmonton. When your child starts with us, we will calculate your payment plan, taking in account the hours you need and any free hours your child is entitled to. Payments are due monthly in advance. On the 1st of each month, you will receive an invoice requesting payment for that month. Payments are due by the 5th. Please note that fees are still payable if your child is absent due to sickness or any other reason.

What help can you get with paying for your childcare?

30 hours of free childcare a week for working parents :

Your child must be aged 9 months to 4 years old and you must live in England. To be eligible for Free Childcare for Working Parents, you (and your partner if you have one) will need to be in work or about to start a new job. You (and your partner) will also need to earn over a certain amount. You’ll need a National Insurance number to apply.  For more information to check you eligibility and how to apply, please click here 

Free Childcare for 2-Year-Olds – Early Years Free Education Entitlement Some two-year-olds are entitled to receive 15 hours free nursery education each week during term time. You can check if you 2-year-old is entitled to the free 15 hours by applying to your local authority. If eligible, you can claim your child’s free nursery place at KIM Nursery from the term after his/ her second birthday.

Free Childcare for 3 Year olds and 4 Year olds: Early Years Free Education Entitlement

All three- and four-year-olds are entitled to receive 15 hours free of early education. You do not need to apply to your local authority. Simply give KIM a call and arrange a visit. Your child will become eligible for the funding in the term after they become three years old and continue until they start in the reception class of their primary school.

30 hours free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds

From September 2017, the free nursery education offer will increase to 30 hours each week during term time for those three- and four-year-olds with parent(s) or carer(s) who meet the eligibility criteria. Parents will need to apply to claim the extra 15 hours. You can find out more information and apply visit Childcare Choices. Please note: You must continue to meet the criteria throughout the time that you are receiving funding for the full 30 hours. If there is a change to your circumstances (Example: you stop working) your child(ren)’s entitlement will reduce to the 15 hours. If you are eligible for the free 30 hours, you can claim your child’s place at KIM Nursery. Contact us now as we have limited places available for the 30 hours offer.

Tax Credits-Universal Credit

You may be qualified to get extra tax credits to help pay for some of your childcare costs while you are working. How much you get will depend on your income and how often you pay for childcare. For more information, visit Childcare Choices.

Tax free childcare

The tax-free childcare scheme was introduced in January 2017 to help parents with the cost of childcare. It will be available to all parents by September 2017. To qualify, parents will have to be in work, earning just over an average of £50 a week and not more than £100, 000 per year. For more information and to apply visit Childcare Choices. If you are eligible, the government will top up any payments you make into your childcare account by 20%, up to a total of £10, 000. This is the equivalent of up to £2, 000 support per child per year.

YOUR CONSUMABLE CHARGES FUNDED PLACES EXPLAINED

We charge a consumable fee of £20 per session for funded hours this applies for
30 hours over 3 full sessions 8:00 – 6:00pm
£15 per session for 9:00 – 3:00pm sessions over 5 days attendance.
Our Consumable Charges is to ensure that our costs are covered for your childcare place.
We do not want any child to miss out on their Early Education due to financial considerations and therefore offer some bursary places where the consumable cost is covered by the company. To request a bursary place please email info@kidsinmotion.co.uk directly.
Children in receipt of Funded 2year old places under the “disadvantaged” criteria, for example low-income families, EYPP funded and 15 hours using 3 hours across 5 days are automatically allocated a bursary place.

Wipes, facecloths, bibs and bedding (washed out of -house in our laundry)

All meals and snacks whilst your child is in attendance with us, prepared by our Nursery Cook onsite, comprising of…

Breakfast – two courses, choice of cereals, toast and fruit

Mid-morning healthy snack – examples are fresh fruit or vegetables with dips, rice cakes, crackers

Lunch – two courses of home cooked meals with vegetables for example lasagne, with garden vegetables follow by desert such as fruit crumble with custard or ice cream

Afternoon snack – examples are fresh fruit or vegetables with dips, rice cakes, crackers, this is different to the morning snack to ensure variety for our children who attend all day.

Afternoon tea – two courses with examples of beans on toast, jacket potato with tuna or choice of fillings, followed by fresh fruit or home baking.

Sports classes -we do provide 2-3 times a week regular Sports classes that we arrange professionals to deliver at extra cost

We have several parties and events throughout the year which are included within your consumable charge and additional childcare for these sessions are at no extra cost, for example:

Graduation (school leavers) – this is of term held on a Saturday and includes graduation gifts for your child such as keepsakes and t-shirts.

Christmas Party/Concert/Sing-along – includes a visit from Santa and a personal gift.

Birthday celebrations– many children like to bake on their birthday, and our cooks provide the team with the ingredients to prepare cupcakes or buns for their friends, includes a small gift and card. If you would like to send home your own treats, please ensure they are labelled and prepackaged to comply with our allergen policy.

Local Trips and visits are provided at no extra cost, examples are library, park, Local walks, fire station, or local events

Opt-Out

Should you prefer not to pay our consumables charge, and have unsuccessfully applied for our free Bursary places, you will need to provide the following daily items, clearly labelled and packaged:

Please provide all wipes, cream, bibs (missing items provided by nursery will incur an additional charge, invoiced in arrears at a rate of 50p per event)

Please provide All meals and snacks for your child’s time with us, following guidance from our Healthy Food Policy, and ensuring all food is labelled and packaged to comply with our allergens policy. We are unable to provide additional refrigerated storage and ask that you provide items with a freezer pack. Due to Food Standards Agency compliance, we are unable to reheat pre-prepared meals from home. Items should be provided sealed, in original packaging, with details of allergens. Missing/Forgotten meals provided by nursery will incur an additional charge, invoiced in arrears the follow rate per meal: £5.50 for Lunch, £3.50 for Tea, £2.50 for Breakfast & £1.00 for Snack.

Additional events provided will incur a charge per event, examples below:

A trip involving staff public transport and increased ratio, such as Fire Station trip £5.50

A trip involving increased staff ratio only e.g. Park/Playground/library £3.50

For trips involving an entrance fee, the cost of the ticket for your child is payable, in addition to the extra staffing cost as above.

Additional childcare for parties and concerts is payable at the Nursery hourly rate, and pre-payable at booking.

Should you decide that you wish to “Opt-Out” from our consumable charge we cannot offer a “mix and match option”. Due to administrative and practical reasons, we are unable to deliver these on an “as and when required” basis. The additional items above must be provided daily, or paid for as they incur, in the event that items are forgotten, not provided, or unpaid for, we will issue a first warning, second warning and third a compulsory application of our consumable charge for the remainder of your place with us.
